It was all
a dream.
Having the ability to share this book with young readers is a lifelong goal. Coming from a family of Jamaican immigrants while growing up outside of the nation’s capital of Washington D.C. specifically in Prince George's County Maryland created an environment and opportunity to learn, mature, evolve, and most importantly observe the impact and influence of an education and remaining a life-long learner.
As a child, Alan would love to read all types of adventurous books, especially science-fiction stories. Not until his adulthood did he notice the lack of diversity in the stories that would later influence my thoughts, decisions, and perception of the world. While embracing his creative side as an adult, Alan decided to create a children's book that captures what he believes will further impact the development and personalities of young minds, because you are what you see.
Being a first-generation Jamaican-American, Alan went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Information Science and System from the "National Treasure" Morgan State University, and Executive Masters of Science in Information System Technology from The George Washington University.
